Thanks for the clarification! Ooh, it’s in the very next chapter, haha.
this is a pretend reply, in reality it’s just more questions orz
I forgot about the Q&A about the animals they dislike! Disobedient…
I only want to add how much Akashi has changed physically.
From this:

To this:
Ours faces reflect who we are… And Akashi is the only who have such heavy change between his freshman year in Teikou to his freshman year in Rakuzan.

Not sure if kurobasu manga is getting gayer influenced by the anime or if it’s always been this gay and I had never noticed before.
I think it’s the second. The gayness in the first Touou match was so BIG and before I didn’t notice it! But now I can’t stop thinking: WAH, SO GAY!

Go to mangafox forums. Like I said in another confession, there are a very neutral fandom with basketball discussions. Even then, I think that what I love the most about this manganime is the characters and the complex relationships (without the shipping and with the shipping).
How Aomine and Kuroko was great friends, and latter Kuroko chose Kagami, who resemble Aomine in many ways. How both friendships work. How Murasakibara (the natural talent) and Kuroko (hard work) had many fights when they were teammates, how all the generation of miracles are changed… How all the relationships are envolved for this reason, and how hard is to be in the top (in a mental sense). Or how is being brutally defeated (Hyuuga or Kiyoshi), and the feelings and reactions .
That’s the reason why I love Kuroko no Basket. And many “shipping” fanfics are developing also this in a wonderful way, so I don’t see the problem in my side of the things. The basket is the medium for all the character development, for me.
Well, my cousin (a boy) also likes Kuroko. So, of course, I told him to stay away of Kuroko tumblr fandom, that is like many of the LJ fandoms: mainly female, so mainly yaoi fangirls. But if you go to mangafox forums, it is a very neutral fandom with many basketball discussions.
So, what? I know, for all the years in the net, that some places are domain of a certain part of a fandom (the LJ fandom tends to be mainly yaoi fangirls, I don’t know why), so I stay away of it if I don’t like and search the places where I can stay.
My own cousin says that he prefer subtext over fanservice. Because he can happily forget about it and enjoy the show, and it tends to not put away the plot so much like the fanservice. So yeah, he don’t mind the yaoi in a fandom (generated for that subtext in general), because it don’t have to be in the way of his own enjoyment.
And that’s the reason he is able to enjoy so many things without any problem, and I think many people really needs to learn it: forget. the. fandom. If you don’t like some part of the fandom, forget about it and go to the parts you enjoy.
As far as I’ve been able to find, there are no stated birthdays for anyone except Kuroko (1/31)? We know a few of their star signs thanks to my-horoscope-is-my-life Midorima, and from what I’ve read they’re fairly accurate matches in terms of personality. Therefore, I have taken to trying to guess the others’. Because that is what I do in my spare time.
So unless canon proves me wrong, I am going to believe Aomine is an Aries (March 21 - April 20). He fits the description to a T.
He’s SUPER INDEPENDENT, direct, aggressive, and competitive. He’s straightforward; what you see is what you get, no ulterior motives, no scheming. He can lie if he wants but he’s not good at it. He’s impatient and gives up quickly when something becomes boring — THIS IS LIKE THE ENTIRETY OF AOMINE’S BACKSTORY. And he’s self-centered — too wrapped up in his own issues to notice or care about Kuroko’s struggles back when things were bad for him at Teikou. But he’s also protective, he’ll look after others and likes to be in charge of someone else, and as long as he has some control/there’s an established power structure he’s okay with taking orders (e.g. he clearly respects Akashi as captain).
So, yeah, headcanon accepted.
And they area good match with Aquarius (Kuroko)?
“One of the possible walls in the relationship of an Aries and an Aquarius is how selfcentered are the Aries, who put themselves first than other people, when Aquarius worries first for another people happines, and put it before his own.”
Yep, Aomine is Aries.
Best Friend: Kagami Taiga (8DDD Wiii~)
First Kiss: Hyuuga Junpei (Not bad~ *-*)
Lover: Aomine Daiki (OMFG! Aomine <3!!!)
Crush: Aomine Daiki (WTF?! Aomine loves me so much?!)
Enemy: Murasakibara Atsushi (Well, al least he is too lazy to making my life impossible)
Cockblocked: Kuroko Tetsuya (HE WANT AOMINE FOR HIMSELF!! Clearly)
SPOILERS OF THE MANGA HERE!
In this image, I can’t stop thinking that Kuroko feels guilty. Because he is using Kagami for his own interest, but Kagami seems believe in him. But Kuroko knows he chose Kagami because was the first good player he saw and could use. Kuroko is a good person, so he feels really bad about that.
Also is the possibility of this remembering him Aomine. Because in this moment, Kuroko saw Kagami as a tool for his own goal, no feelings involved.
Yeah, I know that is a bit fanservice, but putting it aside, that is what I get. The scene happens also in the manga, after all.
Tricky, tricky.
Warning: Spoilers Ahead!
GREAT POST! I had forgotten some of those scenes, so this post was helpful.
Is great how Kuroko is more and more expressive with the advance of the manga, showing than he is more and more happy, recovering of the psychological wounds caused by his time in the GoM.
Also, I think that the narrative marks clearly that Akashi is a very twisted person… But how much he is implied in what happened with the GoM is a mystery. I think that he is the center of all the problems, but no one can be sure… But so many clues in his direction at this point makes me really suspicious. The whole “sabotaging Kuroko” is blatant, he clearly didn’t want Kuroko at the level of the others members (and it is so big that I can’t think that is a false clue).
The big question is “Why?” Why, Akashi? Seeing that Kuroko is similar to a Point Guard, was fear of lossing his position? Why? ARGH, I want to know (and the saddest is what they were all good friends before all…)
